Seven Altars, Livingston

(3.3/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Hike along a creek amid a lush rainforest to reach Seven Altars, a series of seven different dazzling waterfalls. Take a guided tour through the jungle just 5 km (3.1 mi) north from the beaches. Hike among wild flowers, butterflies, and a vast array of birds. Stop by one of the several pools along the way to cool off and relax on the rocks. Be sure to reach the final and prettiest waterfall where you can dive from the top into the pool below. The hike provides pretty scenery all year round, however it's best to visit during wet season, when the creeks and waterfalls are running at their strongest. • Some nice waterfalls that are reachable by a stroll along the beach. Good place to cool down from the heat!  more »
  • The 7 altares are 15 via boat from Livingston directly at the the Caribbean beach. At the end we are talking about some natural pools and waterfalls. It's a nice place but going to all the places just...  more »
  • Beautiful natural pools. It's beautiful, but don't expect either to something extraordinary. Count a little walk to go: 30 to 45 minutes depending on your pace. Not easy to find. We must go at the end of the beach and walk back along the houses before finding the Siete Altares. Attention, do not take the path perpendicular to the beach which is located about 100 metres before the end of the beach. However, the beach is dirty so don't go for that.
