  • We loved! What beautiful collection of statues, ceramics, miniature urns and funeral urns. High place of the ancient Mayan culture.

  • This museum offers the best historical over view of the Popo Vuh and its significance to the Mayan peoples.
  • This is a small but through museum and it has some utterly beautiful and astounding things in it from all over the Mayan world. I especially loved the burial urns - I have not seen huge ones like that...  more »

  • The collection of Mayan artifacts is fantastic. Ranging with artifacts from the PreClassical, Classical and PostClassical periods one gets a fantastic overview of the artistic, technological and commercial advance of the Mayan Civilization. The collection is small so I strongly recommend to ask a day earlier for a reservation of a guided tour (we paid Q.250.00 for the group tour and it lasted for 1.5 hours). The tour guide was very well educated on the topics and provided great Insights on the treasures of their collection. A must go if you visit Guatemala City!

  • It is very good Museum and considered to represent to the Mayan history. But he considered missing attraction around the structure, I attended the Museum since several years with friends or family and there is never a significant variation, you could do something innovative to bring more viewers.
