The Museo Miraflores is an archaeological museum in Guatemala City, dedicated to the display of artefacts from the ancient Maya city of Kaminaljuyu. The museum is open from Tuesday through to Sunday.

The museum was founded in 2002. The museum is located in Zone 11 of Guatemala City, in the southern part of the area once covered by the Maya city of Kaminaljuyu. It covers an area of approximately 1,200 square metres. Within the grounds of the museum are three preserved mounds.

The modern museum is located in a shopping area outside the city centre. It is privately owned and run by the Fundación Miraflores, a for-profit organisation. The museum is described with labels in Spanish and usually English too.

  • Although it is a small museum, it is well maintained. Children enjoy above all play outdoors. I would recommend that there be an interpretation Guide, because it can be used to provide historical and cultural education.

  • While its annex location at the Mall is good as well as its setting, is extremely small in history. If you're lucky and not rain or accidentally open the mound outdoors is best to rest and be safe for the other should have a better relationship, visiting the price or take advantage of the 2 x 1.

  • The variety of items they have are extremely interesting and activities also. But have very poorly organized everything as what events, it has the potential to grow as a Museum and is not known to take advantage of.
