  • Once inside, I almost choked to death on all the smoke from burning candles and smoke censers.....Catholics and pagans worship separate dieties in the same sanctuary, at the same time.
  • Beautiful altarpiece on the high altar showing the conflation of the two crencias: carolica and "Mayan" gods, but the best is out, in the access stairs, brother-in-law there is market. You can not miss this visit a Thursday or Sunday market days.

  • An interesting and historical church in the heart of the town and middle of the market, where Mayan and Christian cultures and traditions mix.
  • Magical place
  • Very authentic place where Mayan traditions meet Christian ceremonies
  • Mass spoken in Spanish and K'iche.
  • A place that no one should stop visiting, this is the true living culture, share with the Quiches (Maya in the region) the goes and comes from its market even with bartering and living presence of the dancers around one church, people, culture, gastronomy, colour, life... that is GUATEMALA
