  • We stopped in the Casa del Jade on our walk from our hotel towards the Central Park. It's located on the east-side of Antigua and is a wonderful 1 hour activity if you include the guided tour (complimentary) along with the shopping experience afterwords. The guides are versed in English, Spanish, Italian, German and French. On the tour you'll see jade in its natural state and also see how it is transformed into beautiful stones of various shades. You'll learn the history of jade and its importance and symbolism to the Maya culture while viewing many replica exhibits. Once the tour is complete, you'll be guided into the shop. SPECIAL NOTE: Our guide was wonderful, enthusiastic and informative. However, the exhibits looked a little tired and in need of a revamp. Also, cruise ships bring guests here, so it's best to time this visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds. ~Theresa Atkins, Central America Vacation
  • Ok place, but they're just trying to sell you jewelry after you pay an entrance fee. Not worth visiting IMO.
  • ook the free tour from Ernesto and learned a lot about the history of the area and the importance of Jade. I have never been very excited about Jade but after Ernesto was done with us I was excited to get a piece in the shop. Great prices. Love my Jade!
  • The tour is nice but the jewelry is slightly over priced.
  • My jade bracelet broke after 2 months. I have emailed twice, as their warranty specifies, and have not heard back. Very disappointed,
