Historic Site
Take a tour of Domaine de Severin, an old rum distillery set on a historical pineapple and coffee plantation. Hop on the miniature train as it takes you around the grounds, showing you the key elements of the facility, all set in a picturesque, green landscape. Afterwards, stop by the landowners’ property and acquaint yourself with the lifestyle of times gone by, with well-preserved artifacts. After all this, sit down and recharge in the restaurant. Be sure to visit the gift shop to take home some of the produce with you. • Very expensive for a small useless train and a visit without interest because they no longer have the production site. No guided tour. Avoid.

  • The visit is highly overrated. We could expect a visit of the distillery and further explanation. Running in my opinion. Very disappointed.

  • This area is no longer a distillery despite signs on the road that still display this notion. The price is a little high for a walk in a small train in my view unnecessary despite some interesting comments. However part of the creole House and garden tour is especially well commented and very informative.

  • Very nice introduction with the train during the visit of the domain. The rum tasting was great and everyone was expecting this since the beginning of the tour :) The jam tastes so good with a full flavour very aromatic. The visit overall was nice, didn't get bored.
  • The"train" tour was overpriced. It is much better to go walk around following the map and trail markers. Everyone was present and the tastings were good.
  • Rum tasting was great, tour by train was almost worthless.
  • The distillery is a very nice place. A small train ride you will be all on Board propose to allow you to know the area as well as the history of the site. A tasting of local products you will then propose. A walk in the gardens will allow you to take some time in a friendly atmosphere. I recommend!

  • Visit quite expensive, € 7 entry (+ €4 with the little train). The distillery is no longer in service (since August 2016) due to a conflict with the new direction, so the machines are stopped. A big negative when it comes to visit a rum distillery. The gardens of tropical plants is very nice and well kept all this in a beautiful setting. Very warm with tasting rums and typical Creole products. The Severin area worth a visit for the quality of the products offered (although there's more rum Severin on sale in the shop).
