  • The small museum at Le Gosier on Grande Terre is rich in artefacts visualizing Créole culture in the West Indies. The beautiful costumes, head scarfs and every day items re a fascinating picture book ...  more »
  • This museum was created and is still maintained by a couple passionate about culture and Caribbean traditions. Over the years, Camellia and her husband completed this collection of objects and costumes across all periods of the Caribbean culture. There is the influence of the Egyptian, Greek and Roman people and many others. The friendly visit accompanied by very sharp comments and humor of Camellia was very informative and entertaining. Staged plunge us into world high in color. Bravo! Marc, Marjorie, Greg and Jen

  • The visit is very beautiful and reminds us the past in Guadeloupe with stops, at school, in the kitchen, in the wardrobe, a stop on the seam with the fabrics.

  • Thanks to the charming owners, for this magnificent Museum, which we explain the clothing customs and Creole traditions. We learned much complementary to our knowledge. Keep and thank you 2. Christophe and Nelly, of Compiègne.

  • We had the pleasure of visiting this small private museum which tells of the life and evolution of Guadeloupe. The founders and owners, retired professors there have put all their heart and certainly devote much of their time to this very well configured place. Kudos to them and I encourage you to visit this places of culture, if you want to know the history of Guadeloupe and its traditions. (Thanks to their home)

  • The museum itself is very interesting and well designed. By against the comments of owners is getting boring. Their behavior refers to your student status and you despise as such. More than two hours listening to superfluous details and to demean these two pretentious intellectuals. I strongly discourages. There are many much more interesting things to see in Guadeloupe.

  • Good evening, I am very disappointed because I called you yesterday in order to be certain your schedules to come this morning. I told you that I'll be there at the opening to have time to visit all. When I left your parking at 0920 hours, person had arrived, then unfortunately, with regard to costumes, I have no opinion, but regards the tradition, you're in.
