Ilet du Gosier, Le Gosier
(3.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Unspoiled by human inhabitance, Ilet du Gosier invites you to get away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. The island is a tropical oasis just a short boat ride from the town, in fact, strong swimmers can try and reach it without any aid. It is roughly 1 km (0.6 mi) long and features clear water and soft white sand. Shallow water provides safe swimming conditions, and trees lining the sand create an ample amount of shade. You'll find a white-brick masonry lighthouse on the south end of the island which stands 21 m (68 ft) tall and looks over the Caribbean Sea. Put Ilet du Gosier on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Le Gosier tourist route planner.

  • About 800 m coast er for 5 euros round trip per adult and 3 for children a small islet paradise and resting for a little family outing... attention to your currency, the master of the boat tends to l forget if you do not claim... Go back about every 20 minutes...

  • Amateur swimmers, we made the crossing of the beach of the dacha until the islet from the throat to the swim... strong current, 30 minutes to go, 15 on the return. A little disappointed that it has no fish throughout the crossing, but once arrived at the islet, a vast aquatic 'Garden' where you can see many fish. Not much to do on this islet, if relaxation, mounted to the lighthouse, and small glass at the bar of the islet.

  • Friendly small islet where there is not much to do if it's to relax on his towel, take a dip in the water and take a look to the lighthouse. The restaurant offers simple dishes, good ratio quality/price.
