  • We visited this market on a saturday morning, market day. There is much fruit and vegetables on sales, but only few fishes. Part of the market is the usual touristy stuff. Nice setting near the sea, p...  more »
  • It's over a mile each way from the cruise port and a nice and safe way to get an overview of the city and mountainside and see the waterside.  more »
  • The market central, located right next to the fish market located near the waterfront of Basse-Terre. Market rather living with a variety of products: spices, fruits of season, garden vegetables, punches, basketry, produced cosmetics craft international productions etc. The market is known not only for its belfry built in the 1930s by architect Ali Tur, but to be the one in Guadeloupe to have a table which shows all the information available on fruits and vegetables. But what sticks to the skin, it is the contact that will have with the merchant since you will notice that it does not just sell a product, he also sells his heart. Open Monday to Saturday from 7: 00 to 13: 00
