  • We covered the big c u l duffel bag (mangrove - is her name!) in a canoe. The departure is from the village of old town, which is not very picturesque; old boats into the muddy port flow, wrecks of cars threaten to fall into the port. The houses are abandoned and hungry stray dogs have much trouble... There is also a kind of fairing for boat that pours its oils and paints in the port. The mangrove discovers canoe through a maze in the mangroves. It's very nice and once away from the noise of the city, feels cut off from the world and we quickly forget the old town port and its rubbish. The décor is beautiful, wild, though repetitive. Distances are great and in full sun don't forget your hat, and especially water! Black spot, which has failed to turn around: in some passages, swarms of mosquitoes by the hundreds are attacking you, and then it's a nightmare. We have been stung dozens of times, even the eye which earned me a kind of black eye for the rest of the stay. Some were returning to the ears, nose, mouth; We rolled up in towels to protect us, and sprayed lotion mosquito repellent, but despite this we had eaten. If you really want to do the mangrove I advise you to stay dressed in full with a combination of water, or go the days or the wind blows a little bit, this hunting mosquitoes. Once snippets infested passages, he had to paddle fast to outrun them, and depending on the wind there was sometimes less, it was not all over but could never predict. Does we really spoil the visit. I must say that mosquitoes are a splendid ground game, and that the boat wrecks half-cast, as the wrecks of cars, waste of old town, which are ideal nesting boxes, do not arrange things in this marshy maze. The night we were covered with bites with parts of the body that seemed swollen as if we was attacked by swarms of bees. In addition to being voracious and aggressive, these mosquitoes are particularly painful. At outlaw with children or any fragile person.

  • If you love nature, the sea...'s done it for you. Try to find Marie France a Holy 2000 Captain rose. She will make you discover the mangrove islets with his boat. A really decent price for half a very rewarding day. Do
