Landmark Tourist Spot
Learn about historical local architecture at Nuuk Cathedral, which seems to have incorporated elements from each period. Initially built in 1849, the church began as a simple wood and soapstone Lutheran structure. During subsequent decades, it was paneled with red and white wood, and a wooden tower was added in the 1920s. Attend mass or simply walk around and enjoy the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Put Nuuk Cathedral and other Nuuk attractions into our Nuuk trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.
