Old Cemetery, Kulusuk

(20+ reviews on the web)
Cemetery Tourist Spot
See the final resting place of many citizens at Old Cemetery, an unusual burial site that reflects both the local beliefs and harsh conditions. According to legend, people should be buried in unnamed graves, because the name may confuse the spirits and interfere with the afterlife. Thus, all the graves look the same--with white offset by ubiquitous colorful flowers, and stone cairns compensating for the impossibility of digging deep into the frozen ground. From the cemetery you can observe the view of the distant mountains and enjoy the crisp air. For Old Cemetery and beyond, use our Kulusuk trip builder to get the most from your Kulusuk vacation.
