Porto Limnionas, Zakynthos

Must see · Beach · Nature / Park
A secret treasure, Porto Limnionas sits between steep cliffs that offer unobstructed views of the Ionian Sea. Unconventional, this beach does not feature a stretch of sand, but you'll find plenty of spots for your towel and umbrella on the surrounding bluffs. Spend all day swimming in the refreshing water. If you've got diving gear, explore the small caves dotting this part of the coastline. Except for one small tavern, there are no tourist facilities nearby, so bring a picnic and plenty of water if you plan to venture from the beach. • This is a stunning spot. Not a beach, but there are ‘platforms’ where you can put your towels down on the rocks. The walk down is steep and the walk up even steeper, but if you can manage it, it’s...  more »
  • Wow just wow this is a must see for sure! My first trip to Zante; see the island by quad bike and it’s completely stunning.../ this is a definite must to visit.  more »
  • A nice small beach with crystal green blue water. On the top it is also restaurant, where you can eat during your swimming.  more »
  • Definitely worth the hazardous car journey to get here just for the view. It's true what they say, the water looks luminescent..! Amazing to be able to sit and eat here overlooking the cove.. The food is pretty decent.. chips are really nice.. lamb chops were slightly on the tough side.. all in all, food is decent enough but waiters could be slightly more attentive.. Understandably, it's busy and hot but you're kinda left sitting there waiting and waiting once you're seated.. and they're in no hurry for you to pay once you've finished eating.. They aren't rude, actually quite friendly, but you do have to wait on them to offer you any service..
  • The perfect place in a perfect location. You can't ask for better views and the food is amazing. They had a very busy day when we were here but that didn't slow down the service or lowered the quality of food. If you order the seafood meze you won't regret it (and it's enough for 2, even 3 people). Well done guys you created something memorable here!
  • Amazing place! Rocky and slippery, so water shoes are a must. Easy to get to, plenty of parking. Lovely restaurant nearby, great food. You have to pay for loungers or you can just put down your towels on the rocks and pay nothing. Snorkeling was ok, not much to see as it was quite busy. All in all, lovely views and warm blue waters.
  • One of the most beautiful places in the island. Cold turquoise waters blending with lots of green. Stunning scenery
  • Late september visit. What a view! No need for booking a table. Food was tasty and priced well. Set of beds and umbrella for 10 € however no showers available. The road there is bit tricky. Better to have some reverse skills.
