  • Well worth the visit, as much for the important antiquities, as for the unspoiled scenery which offers you an immersion in the Attica landscape of times past. Peace and quiet prevail in this off-the-b...  more »

  • Nice small temple. Was closed and looked like being closed for a while. But you can see from the fence. Surroundings don't do a favor, nothing like temple of Poseidon.
  • Small, sweet Temple to Artemis. Not too far from the airport. Often overlooked. Small museum. This is a very peaceful out of the way site and you will feel miles away from everything vs. the hustle of Athens overrun with tourists.
  • The ancient temple of Artemis and its museum is located in the area of Vravrona otherwise known as Brauron between the Athens Airport and the area of Porto Rafti. From where it is situated, it was found in a gully as it was almost covered in mud preserving its columns and the incredible statues of children from ancient times. The museum displays the artifacts found and the story behind it along with a variety of archeological statues of children from that period of time. I recommend seeing if you are driving in the Athens areas.
