  • We came by car this morning-there were very few visitors, we were able to calmly look at the monastery to see the sacred tree. The place is very sincere and serene. Even if you're not a believer, it's interesting from a cultural point of view.

  • At the entrance we were met a nun who asked whence we came. When she learned that we from Russia very mentally we were met. In the Church we could not get because it was closed. Outside on one side forests were established and conducted the restoration work. Walked around and saw the Church Sacred mirtovoe tree. Put evromonetki and took the plate of foil to hang it on a tree branch. Each sign has its own form and pattern. We hope that our desire to sbuditsâ:)

  • Visit the oldest monasteries in Crete you need as a minimum due to the miraculous tree centuries of Myrtle. According to legend, in the branches of the tree is hidden icon of the Virgin, however, can only see the image of Saints and children ... According to legend, this place is able to heal from illness and help in difficult life situations. Completely unexpected impression produces this Myrtle: it seems as if the tree comes. Go from there was very difficult, and tree beckons, and I want to stay close to him as possible. The convent is a wonderful shop where you can buy icons, made from an array of olives, as well as oil mirtovogo tree. While at the foot of the Hill on which the monastery is located, has a great observation deck offering stunning views of the Valley.
