Manousakis Winery, Vatolakkos
(4.7/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy the enchanting and serene atmosphere on a tour of Manousakis Winery, set amid rolling hills dotted scented with rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender, and camomile. The winery, having first come to fruition in 1993, spans over 10 hectares (25 acres) of land that bears grapes from the sandy soil and Mediterranean climate. Admire the quintessentially white Greek country house matched with modern structures. Tour the old and new wineries, the stunning vineyard, and the on-site art exhibition held in the old family home. Learn about the wine-making process and sample different wines produced on site. If you've worked up an appetite, you can enjoy a full lunch. Put Manousakis Winery into our Vatolakkos vacation generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Great experience. Tasted a lot of different wines and learned a lot on the tour of the winery. Lunch was okay, but the wine was the main purpose of the visit and that was great.
  • Very "compact" easy to understand tour of the winery and wine making in general. Good wines and lunch. Very nice place and surroundings.
  • Hands-down the best wine tour I have ever been on. The tour guide kept apologizing for his English, which made us laugh because it was perfect. We learned a lot about how wine is made. There is also so much history on the winery grounds that involves WWII and a 1200 year old olive tree. When we go back to Crete, we will be going back here. Did I mention the wines are delicious??
  • Great tour of the winery by a friendly and funny half Greek, half Canadian tour guide. We booked the light lunch which was really good. We were offered generous tasting portions of five delicious wines and another glass of wine of our choice. But... If you buy wine as you should!, ask for a plastic bag as the paper bag breaks pretty easily :(
  • Very educational and exciting tour of the winery followed by great wine and food. Highly recommended!
