Enjoy the enchanting and serene atmosphere on a tour of Manousakis Winery, set amid rolling hills dotted scented with rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender, and camomile. The winery, having first come to fruition in 1993, spans over 10 hectares (25 acres) of land that bears grapes from the sandy soil and Mediterranean climate. Admire the quintessentially white Greek country house matched with modern structures. Tour the old and new wineries, the stunning vineyard, and the on-site art exhibition held in the old family home. Learn about the wine-making process and sample different wines produced on site. If you've worked up an appetite, you can enjoy a full lunch. • My husband wanted to visit the winemaker Barboza as something different. and so it was. Cleopatra toured us to places and explained the history of the winemaker and the method of manufacture of wine. Incredible information magic to know regarding the wine. The tasting was in a gorgeous space, clean, with very green and lots of trees. Shade in your table did the lemon ... and the noise was hear only birds that were flying ... great calmness ... in each wine that you have explained the genre, but also with what can you combine. We got a simple tasting without cheeseboard and me were very good as nobody knew exactly the taste of wine. This is subjective of course. together with our wine were served nuts and local oil just wonderful! the quality of the products was so great that you realize the utter simplicity in splendor. A really lovely place, something different. I recommend, I will definitely be visiting again without the tour just to taste a glass of wine in such a serene environment.

  • Hands-down the best wine tour I have ever been on. The tour guide kept apologizing for his English, which made us laugh because it was perfect. We learned a lot about how wine is made. There is also so much history on the winery grounds that involves WWII and a 1200 year old olive tree. When we go back to Crete, we will be going back here. Did I mention the wines are delicious??
  • A must stop on any trip to Crete. Surroundings, history, facilities, wines and people all worthy of the trip.
  • Great tour of the winery by a friendly and funny half Greek, half Canadian tour guide. We booked the light lunch which was really good. We were offered generous tasting portions of five delicious wines and another glass of wine of our choice. But... If you buy wine as you should!, ask for a plastic bag as the paper bag breaks pretty easily :(
  • We arrived without an appointment and the staff graciously allowed us to stay and have a wine tasting. Not only was the Nostros blend terrific but their olive oil truly was a highlight of our trip. Thank you again for such a special time!
