Enjoy the enchanting and serene atmosphere on a tour of Manousakis Winery, set amid rolling hills dotted scented with rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender, and camomile. The winery, having first come to fruition in 1993, spans over 10 hectares (25 acres) of land that bears grapes from the sandy soil and Mediterranean climate. Admire the quintessentially white Greek country house matched with modern structures. Tour the old and new wineries, the stunning vineyard, and the on-site art exhibition held in the old family home. Learn about the wine-making process and sample different wines produced on site. If you've worked up an appetite, you can enjoy a full lunch. Tremendous place for a quality drop and divine atmosphere. We had Greg take us and he was terrific. We got the public bus from Chania for a couple of euro and it's a 10 minute walk from the drop off to the winery and its lovely out there. Check the bus timetable... as reliable as the service is, it is not overly frequent. Generous and relaxed tastings were thoroughly enjoyed by us. We've just come from Burgundy and this experience was better than anything up in France - true Greek hospitality. Good luck not wanting to buy something. Along with Samaria, Elafonisi and Phalasarna... this is a must do when in Crete.
Friendly staff and stunning surroundings, the only issue is that wine really isn't that great, which is the hole reason to visit. They are baby friendly with nappy changing facilities in the toilets and the cheese platter was good.
Gorgeous place! The nicest hospitality ! Oh.. the wines ? One better then the other ! Delicious wines, can't get enough ! We loved them all ! Thank you Afshin and Gregory for a great Cretan hospitality ! Wonderful Sunday morning , the place is magnificent , the wines are devine ! Wonderful
