  • The Church is dedicated to Agios Dimitrios, Thessaloniki pattern. Located in the Centre of the city is a church which is on the World Heritage list since 1988. Built up some baths Roman, on the century 4 dc. The entrance is free i is worth sit 10 minutes to breathe the atmosphere with the smell of incense. Inside photos can be done while respecting the faithful that there is inside. Make them without flash

  • Interesting, but - as so often in Thessaloniki - heavily restored... Whilst I am aware of the importance of the importance of the local saints, for me the real find was the crypt...
  • Go there and take the blessings of agios Dimitrios, the great Saint from Thessaloniki !!!
  • This impressive, Orthodox Christian church is dedicated to St. Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki.
  • Even if you're not the religious type, this is a very interesting place both for its architecture and its history. Be sure to check out the visiting hours and prepare to spend some time inside. It's worth it.
  • Nice holy place, free admission, the underground crypt was closed though
