  • A fantastic monument of Christian worship. It is very close to the Centre. There is possibility to visit daily church in Basilica with five naves and around various additions. Not forget to visit the catacombs beneath the Church.

  • Interesting, but - as so often in Thessaloniki - heavily restored... Whilst I am aware of the importance of the importance of the local saints, for me the real find was the crypt...
  • Go there and take the blessings of agios Dimitrios, the great Saint from Thessaloniki !!!
  • This impressive, Orthodox Christian church is dedicated to St. Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki.
  • Even if you're not the religious type, this is a very interesting place both for its architecture and its history. Be sure to check out the visiting hours and prepare to spend some time inside. It's worth it.
  • Nice holy place, free admission, the underground crypt was closed though
