  • Museum which has treasures of history of Macedonia that have all those found in the city.

  • art and artifacts here from millinnia past. right across the street from the museum of byzantine culture. combined entrances can be used within three days
  • Great overview of the city's and region's history. Very didactic exhibition. There is a combined ticket together with the Byzantine museum next door and the white tower that could be interesting of you are really into history and art. When it is really hot outside, the museum's air conditioning makes it a great option to cool down.
  • Terrible experience. Not worth to spend your time and money unless you like to be insulted by uneducated, racist and rude irrational staff.
  • If it rains in Thessaloniki and you're into history, then you should visit this nice museum. It's only 4€, with the double you can also visit the museum of Byzantine culture nearby and this way you can find out more about the history of this town. Book about one hour to visit it all, it's not very big. It also features some temporary collections.
  • One of the most important museums in Greece hosting the findings from the graves of Macedonian royal family. And the bones of Philip father of Alexander the Great.
  • Small but really cool. I had a great visit here during my stay in Thessaloniki. I highly recommend it to anyone here.
