We have been driving past the zoo for years but because of the tatty road that leads to it we were never excited to visit. At last we did on Saturday and what a little gem this zoo is. Everything is p... read more »
Ωραίο μέρος με αρκετά ζώα και καλές εγκαταστάσεις για τα ζώα και αρκετά καλές πληροφορίες για τα ζώα .Nice place with several animals and good facilities for animals and pretty good information about animals.show original
Greece's largest zoo, easy to drive to using the Attiki Odos highway. During the summer it is better visiting the zoo in the afternoon as there as only a few spots with shade. There is picnic areas, coffee shop, souvenirs' shop and kids' playground. You will need at least 3-4 hours to see most of the animals. There are specific hours during the day when animals' feeding takes place, so you'd better ask the staff. Last but not least the dolphins' show, which kids will love, is very frequent during the weekends and holidays, but otherwise you should ask for the timetable at the zoo's entrance.
Waste of money. Dolphin show was at 12 noon and 6pm. Lions tigers cheetahs Pumas bears were not even visible due to heat. Best time to visit is after 4pm or early morning on opening. Taxis from Athens cost around €80. Disappointed in the visit. Personally don't waste your time and money!!
Great way to spend the day with the family. Take snacks and picnic items with you as there s a lot of walking around. The park is really well organised. Worth the visit.

I think this is a zoo with the most comprehensive collection of animals in Greece. We can feed the lemurs, watch birds show, and see the guards cage to feed some of the animals in the cage. Do not forget to watch the dolphin show. In the zoo there is a café/restaurant with a spacious lawn for a picnic. 20150510.
