  • Spectacular location than we figured now is trying to promote. The location is beautiful, the buildings in relatively good shape, but certainly with the care of the space will become much more beautiful. Some places need a little attention. The view of Mount Taygetos is great. While generally from old area is known, does not know why he had not been trying to organisation of space. Definitely more to look like an organized archaeological site.

  • To get to this site you must just be stubborn because you won't find traffic signs anywhere. If you ask the people you'd better try to get Leonidas monument, that everyone knows him and I will indicate. Arriving there by car, drive straight ahead leaving the statue on the right, first street to the right and up through a dirt road and finally you have arrived at the site. There are great things to see and as usual I'm not explained by captions etc But in my opinion worth to see the remnants of this magnificence that was Sparta.

  • Need well with imagination to think how it could look. Location helps considerably. Many ruins over a larger surface area. Good information signs. Worth a visit.
