Ancient City of Phaistos, Sivas
Categories: Ruins, Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Get a glimpse of the life of Minoan people through a visit to the ruins of a Minoan palace. At Ancient City of Phaistos, learn about the relationship between rulers and workers, the Minoans' trade routes, and much more. Tour the central court, royal quarters, storerooms, and workshops. It's a steep climb to the top of the hill where the ruins are, but the views of the surrounding area are stunning. Plan to visit Ancient City of Phaistos and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Sivas attractions using our Sivas tourist route planner.

In the State, the visit has no interest. Little explanation, shabby, poorly highlighted, many works of conservation in apparent concrete very ugly that mix, a third closed to the public and a site which can ride the 1/4 hour for 8 euros per person. Clearly less well spent money far in crete... The good plan if you go anyway: we see almost all of the site since the funds without paying a penny.show original
A differenza del palazzo di Cnosso qui i restauri sono stati molto meno invasivi. Il sito è ovviamente più piccolo ma tenuto molto bene. The site is obviously smaller but very well maintained. In each zone there are signs explaining (in English of course) what were its functions, sometimes with patterns that help to imagine the whole thing. A special mention goes to the nature of the area: be prepared to hear the calls of birds that abound in the surrounding area. The price of admission is 8 euros, considering there may stay if it is thought that the entrance to Knossos is 15 euros. The length of time depends on how long it lingers on various signs but I think at least an hour or so it takes. Just outside the archaeological area there is also a bar and a shop of suovenir.show original
