Mesa Pigadia Beach, Santorini

3.8
#9 of 14 in Beaches in Santorini
Santorini's hidden gem, the secluded Mesa Pigadia Beach is surrounded by white cliffs, with pebbled sand and large rocks strewn along the shore. As you walk along the rocky coastline, you can see colorful houses built into the hills, some of which are used for storing fishermen's boats during the winter. One of the caves in the rocks leads to another small beach on the other side of the hills. Enjoy the shimmering blue water and the sound of crashing waves, or sample the delicious fresh foods in the family-run tavern. Plan your visit to Mesa Pigadia Beach and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Akrotiri tour planner.

It is situated right next to the black beach. It is not easily accessible, everything must be said and lanplaya is of stones, like almost all that we have visited in Greece. But the sunbeds are very economic, we will that if you buy a water is sufficient... € 0.50 water transparent and clean, recommended to make snorkel or simply spend time chasing fish, crabs etc. Only has a bar (personally does not eat very well) but you have the blackbeach justonal side with another bar) to us that we like to take a bath is that more like us

I came to this beach on a scooter, after a dirt road friendly. Crystal clear water, caves at the end of the beach and two structures: the first right at the descent, with a very simple and not very refined and an old man who rent chairs and umbrellas. The second was closed and there is an abusive, with minor daughter that you're slurring some words in English, which rent sun beds and umbrellas are not his, but that seems to be seized. Some bather, annoyed, justifiably not paid him. Judge for yourself, I'm pretty good Neapolitan annoyed at finding me the squatters while on vacation, so I'll point out.
