Melissani Cave, Sami

Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 2,600+ reviews on the web
An underground cave, Melissani Cave was created by the dissolution of rocks. The geologic wonder--3.5 km (2.2 mi) long, 40 m (131 ft) wide, and 36 m (118 ft) high--is home to the blue waters of an underground lake. Explore the cave and lake by boat, which leads you through the large open area and continues through an incredibly narrow passage into a second cavern. Make Melissani Cave a centerpiece of your Sami vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Sami vacation generator.
