  • The visit of the monastery of Kalopetra is almost a must for anyone who travels along the entire route of the Valley of the butterflies as it is situated on the upstream. The monastery is very small, but even in his modest size has all the charm of Orthodox traditions. From the outdoor deck you can enjoy a beautiful view while sitting on comfortable benches, a much deserved break before retracing the Valley to return to their car. Of course you can also reach us directly because it is located on the street Psinthou-Kalamonas.

  • If the Butterfly Valley is not required to attend, entrance fee, then climb to the monastery-the case of the other. But upstairs in the afternoon those 50 +, the more heat, the well is very difficult. I thought I've had enough of sunstroke. And here rose with difficulty, has gone to church, put a candle and immediately became somehow better. May I personally so weak, but the second time I would hesitate. The view from the top is a beautiful, well turned out wonderful photo.
