  • Only you can see what you tell about the location had the Colossus (erected to the God Helios) was bronze with 32 meters high and its construction lasted 12 years. Inside was hollow and to give stability their legs apart were filled with stones. This did not prevent that you fall in earthquake of the year 227 c only after 50 years of erected. He stayed fired for 900 years until Syrians brought her country the remains where a trader which ended the bronze-casting to manufacture coins would have bought them... In the place in which supporters are feet today rises 2 columns with a fawn male and his female and which are the symbol of Rhodes. EYE! the columns ARE NOT remains of the ancient monument!
