We got a dozen wines on wine tasting. Of them were worth only whites. The staff was very helpful. Of course the view was incredible, one reason believe that so many people visit the Winery every day.

This was the most beautiful place we're been in Santorini. Professional service, great wine and an excellent guide ✔️ The view was breathtaking. We had a table on the front row and enjoyed the sunset ...  more »

Polished, plush, pricey and commercial. Nothing "wrong" exactly - wine, service, hospitality all great - but the place clearly caters for tours, and tourists who are not willing/able to go and find something more original. Fine if you only have a day, but it was the least authentic winery out of the 6 I went to. However, it's setting is hard to beat. Beautiful.

Not a food place we sent ours back. However the view alone is worth the money. We had an 18 flight taste selection for 36euros which was well worth it and like i said tounhve to go simply for the sunset view. I recommend reserving a table!!

Well, people may say it's touristy and commercial, yes, it is! But you can find here the best price for very good local wine and the marvelous view. I think it's worthy!

It is undoubtedly a mass tourism place, but if you go off season, it has an amazing view of the volcano and the caldera! A good shop of some good quality Greek products (incl. wine) as well.

It all about what you are here for the view is great and jaw dropping. However the wines are quite mediocre. Very run of the mill. I recommend going for the views, try 6 or 12 wines, take astonishing photos, and then go to a better tasting winery.

Where to stay in Pyrgos

As with most places in Santorini, travelers to Pyrgos have mostly expensive accommoation options. While you may find some mid-range options outside of the center, hotels in the town center are priced fairly similarly. Budget travelers looking for the most affordable hotels should stay near the bus and railway station, though this neighborhood is less desirable than the center. If you are planning a more luxurious vacation, opt for a historical villa or luxury home on the nearby mountainside or along the town's beaches.
