  • Nice wines but I believe their specialties are mainly whites. They serve a lot more whites for tasting than red. Prices very reasonable for tasting. Anyway the whites are good but the reds are so so at best. Don’t expect too much from the tour if you have been to tours in South Africa, Argentina, Australia etc. Very little knowledge sharing just only wine tasting. Good view tho! Worth the trip there.
  • First of all, we are no wine expert and kind of came on our last day so didn't have the highest expectations as some of the commentators obviously had While the tour was not amazing by any mean the guide tried her best and was great. The wine tasting I thought was quite good. Tried 24 wines (60ml each) for 26 euro. Not bad I thought. Took me a whole afternoon though which was really not bad at all given the incredible view.
  • good views and pretty good wines to boot. i did the 12 types as the 18 types was sold out.they did some basic explanation of the wines served and made sure to tell u in which order to taste them. also order the cheese platter but didn’t really know how to appreciate the types of cheese served. wasn’t told what cheese it was too.
  • went there as part of our bus tour , its a great place to try out locally produced wines with over 40 varieties. We had a wine tasting session and were served 3 types, i would very much recommend the red wine , cant remember the name but it was velvet red wine that was naturally sweet. This place also has great view's
  • Make reservations early. Extremely courteous staff. 18 wine tasting! Delicious wines. Got a seafood platter also which was filled with fresh seafood. Must visit for sunset!

Where to stay in Pyrgos

As with most places in Santorini, travelers to Pyrgos have mostly expensive accommoation options. While you may find some mid-range options outside of the center, hotels in the town center are priced fairly similarly. Budget travelers looking for the most affordable hotels should stay near the bus and railway station, though this neighborhood is less desirable than the center. If you are planning a more luxurious vacation, opt for a historical villa or luxury home on the nearby mountainside or along the town's beaches.
