  • The spacious new museum divides the finds into themes rather than chronology and doesn't overwhelm with overcrowded displays. There are some spectacularly well preserved pots and mosaics. Best for the...  more »
  • It is new so it has all the specs for a good tour. The Greece is full of ancient masterpieces, surprises and beauty. Especially the Peloponnese is the birthplace of the ancient Greek civilization and the Museum that, like the other, incidentally, has interesting information about the great area.

  • Unfortunately nothing special in terms of eyrimatwn. A classic Greek boring Museum with irrelevant personal anikano be the katalytis on the journey in time and in history, let alone to offer information and hosting foreign visitors.

  • A short visit, but really fascinating. In particular, I would like to thank the staff who went out of their way to assist me on that day. Thank you..
  • The museum possessed fabulous collections, very well arranged and documented. There are many beautiful pieces but just enough so you don't feel bored like it could happen in some big museum. The museum show the human side of historical past. The temporary exposition of a greek artist was the cherry on top of the cake. A must if you are in the area.
  • The new museum in Patras is probably the city's best-kept secret. I went there on a Sunday (they are open and they're shut on Mondays) and had the place all to myself. There is no food and drink that can be bought on the premises so, for now at least, be prepared to go a little hungry and thirsty but it's worth it. The exhibits are tremendous. They provide deep insight into the past of a country where if you get out in the street and dig a few metres down you're going to discover antiquities. They have curated some of the best finds and the effect is indescribable. I sat mesmerised looking at a 3,000 year old skeleton whose owner had died a violent death. You think, "this feels like a movie" except it's all real.
  • A very interesting and valuable Museum which will see artifacts from Achaia. Essential destination for every visitor.
