  • A modern museum with exquisite mosaics from the Roman era but also many impressive objects (figurines, jewelry, etc.) of the Mycenaean Achaia. Worth a visit if you happen to be in the area, and definitely worth to learn about programs for children, if you stay in Patra. Is imaginative, interesting and your kids will definitely see another '' eye '' ancient.

  • We visited with my family the Archaeological Museum of Patras. It is very nice, and certainly when you get together again in the area you will visit again. The people are friendly and polite, the room very nice, no single stylish but comfortable and well illuminated and amazing exhibits. You know me already, so I'm not telling you again how important it is for me the history of each place. In the Museum you will see amazing mosaics – and you can start it like activity with your kids, as we did and we little in elementary with the mosaics and the xylokoptiki ... Exhibits on the history of Achaea and of course two sundials on that and we went to see up close. If it is to be in the area to put in your program anyway and write to me how did you think, won't write other details, get on YouTube has a good virtual tour, but up close it's different!

  • Top clash museum. Needs more visitors. You won't be disappointed.
  • Giving Patras a museum the city really deserved. Not to miss.
  • A short visit, but really fascinating. In particular, I would like to thank the staff who went out of their way to assist me on that day. Thank you..
  • The new museum in Patras is probably the city's best-kept secret. I went there on a Sunday (they are open and they're shut on Mondays) and had the place all to myself. There is no food and drink that can be bought on the premises so, for now at least, be prepared to go a little hungry and thirsty but it's worth it. The exhibits are tremendous. They provide deep insight into the past of a country where if you get out in the street and dig a few metres down you're going to discover antiquities. They have curated some of the best finds and the effect is indescribable. I sat mesmerised looking at a 3,000 year old skeleton whose owner had died a violent death. You think, "this feels like a movie" except it's all real.
  • The museum possessed fabulous collections, very well arranged and documented. There are many beautiful pieces but just enough so you don't feel bored like it could happen in some big museum. The museum show the human side of historical past. The temporary exposition of a greek artist was the cherry on top of the cake. A must if you are in the area.
