  • Is in a little Valley surrounded from pine forest. Careful excavation. Explanatory signs and very very informative space shot. Small auditorium with Thrones in the front row and nice scene. Serene environment. I go regularly for meditation.

  • Archaeological enclosure in a fantastic natural setting, in a Valley surrounded of trees and flowers. It is an ancient shrine dedicated to Amphiaraus, a legendary Greek Soothsayer, where oracular consultations were held. Herodotus, Croesus, the King of the Lydians, wanted to find out what Oracle of all existing in his time was the most reliable. Therefore sent emissaries to all the oracles for that on a day fixed in advance, ask what he was doing in that time Croesus. What Croesus was to prepare a stew very rare and in a way rather strange. The Oracle at Delphi turned out to be the most successful, but Herodotus adds that also of Amphiaraus gave a convincing answer. That gives proof of the importance of the sanctuary at the time. On the grounds you can find remains from different periods, and especially from Roman times, when the sanctuary gained with a renewed importance. The remains that preserves and the place in which it is located, certainly, deserves a visit.
