Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Santorini from Byzantine Castle Ruins, the remains of a 15th-century castle between Oia and Ormos Ammoudia. The view from the citadel boasts some of the most photographed images in all of Greece with picturesque whitewashed buildings, a windmill, and the azure sea beneath spectacular cliffs. If you want to see the sunset, come early to get a good seat. One of the best places to see the sunset. You also hear the violin that it is played by local musicians. It is very romantic
Rinando Aidil fitrio
One of the strategic places to see the sunset, while enjoying traditional music from local musicians. Its very crowded, so better go there early in the afternoon. 20130707.
This is an excellent free spot for viewing sunset. While waiting for the moment, you can sit and hide from the strong wind behind the wall. The space is quite small and can be very crowded in sunset time.
We watched the sunset from here and the pictures turned out great. It gives you the advantage to capture both the sunset and the town of Oia. Get there early because it's a popular sunset watching spot.
Beautiful spot to watch the sunset but very crowded. Not so much fun to watch a sunset while being jostled for space.
