  • This is a good choice to watch the sunset for free, it has an amazing view. Just be sure to get there like 2 hours before to get a good spot.  more »
  • Steep walk but worth getting to the spot. Awesome views of the islands next to the main island. Awesome sunset views  more »
  • Next trip while on Santorini, was a tour of the archaeological site, near the village of AKROTILI. Who likes history and excavations, definitely come on their own, nicknamed the "POMPEII of the AEGEAN SEA", a powerful explosion of the volcano had there fell on the port city. Is said to be the second Center of Cretan Minoan. culture.

  • Not only a spectacular site as a ruin of an old Byzantine castle, but the views of the caldera and the town of Ia really will make your day! On top of that, the sign near the entrace: "Danger of landslides. Do not enter!" and all the tourists (and me!) bluntly ignoring this and challenging the really very steep and deep cliffs for some beautiful pictures are a nice bonus and make this visit a special attraction!
  • Excellent view for sunset. Be sure to get there early to secure a place!
  • Very crowded place for sunset, but did have a great view. Be careful if you go over the end wall for a seat, as it has no barriers from the 50ft drop over the edge. Bring a torch for after sunset if you hang around until it is dark, as there no lights on the steps back to the town.
  • One of the best places to see the sunset. You also hear the violin that it is played by local musicians. It is very romantic
  • Not a spectacular place but the views from here are amazing
