  • The emphasis is on very cute store appearance. Just enjoyed watching the store without buying the book, but as the name implies is a bookstore. There were many shops popular with tourists taking pictures.

  • Well we only went to Athens, Naxos, Santorini and Crete, but out of those places, Atalantis Books was by far, the best stocked book store of English language books, both of mainstream stuff and qualit...  read more »

  • A multilingual book store in the most unlikeliest of places. Nice niche atmosphere with some collectable editions that caught my eye, but alas over valued to me. Definitely worth you looking and carrying on a conversation with the owner/operators.
  • My partner and I were totally gobsmacked to find a copy of Poems and Fragments of Alcaeus translated to English by RJ Dent in this very out of the way gorgeous little bookshop. Brilliant.
  • What a cool spot! A very small spot that includes a variety of books in Greek, French, English and other languages. Be sure to try entering thorough the tight, cramped, adventurous rooftop entrance.
  • We happened upon this WONDERFUL gem of a bookstore after dinner in Oia, and were utterly charmed. The selection of books was broad, diverse and intelligent, and the owner, who was warm and welcoming, actually knew quite a bit about pretty much any book we picked up. The quirky ambience was enhanced by a great selection of quotes and poetry hand-painted on the walls, along with a clever timeline of the history of the bookstore and its owners, since I guess so many people naturally ask "How did such a cool little bookstore end up here?" Perhaps best of all is their surprising and impressive selection of first editions and antiquarian books, which the owner was happy to show us and let us handle. Fell hard for an 1886 oversized, engraved edition of "The Raven". Just gorgeous! Well worth a visit if you're nearby, but hurry. Someone is trying to buy the building and push them out, which would be a terrible loss for Santorini.
  • Not the biggest range of books on the planet but a beautiful shop none the less
