  • Place looks fantastic. Never seen volcano before and do not think will see more of them. Sulphur smell is really strong. Kids refused to go down the crater because of it. Really must do experience.
  • On the wonderful island of Nisyros sailed with an English-speaking tour in Kos (Kardamena). The road took on the order of hours + of the island to the crater of the volcano. Serpentines, breathtaking-everything as usual in the mountains) and the VOLCANO. OH! Visited for the first time in his life in the crater of a volcano, the brightest impressions! Some places are dangerous craters and surrounded by a fence. There appeared little dips. If you listen-sure to hear how he breathes (rages:)! Sometimes from the crater in the air released wisps of gas-be careful, can be warmly feet. View stunning! sensations-stronger! At the bottom there is a small town, very colorful-Greek style-white-blue! Quay, where you can take a walk, eating delicious local ice cream! So does the island has a temple icon of the Virgin cave. Greeks believe that the icon helps women suffering from infertility, and girls wishing to gain a spouse. Many returned to thank for still wonders! Icon covered offerings.

  • The volcano is the main attraction of the island. An active volcano, but completely safe for tourists. You can descend into the crater of the volcano. Very unusual sensations, smells like hydrogen sulfide, and around small boiling and steaming puddles.
