  • A very good effort that was from the University of Athens before 25 years. The originality lies in that it is under the square of the metropolis without basement and the runway not visit rests on the ground are farm. The exhibit is the traces and walls from the first habitation of the country

  • We went here during our stay in Naxos. The museum is well organized and enjoyable. It is easy to understand and they have people around to help or assist you. Worth the €2 to get it.  more »

Where to stay in Naxos

As with most island destinations, rooms in Naxos tend to cost more the closer you get to the sea. Beach hotels and seaside apartments come at a steep price, but they offer spacious rooms and modern amenities just minutes from the island's finest beaches. Stay in Naxos Town for quick access to the best shopping and dining options, or choose one of the island's smaller settlements if you prefer a quieter base. Village inns provide simply furnished rooms and no frills, but they also charge less than the resort hotels.
