  • For the photographer of ancient sites a MUST! A herlliche silence, broken only by the chirping of cicadas hidden wonderful walls, small, and - if not so many tourists are present - chapels.

  • A site outside time, maintained, to visit absolutely! The visit may be made in two stages. But everything is a must see.

  • The ruins of Mystras are truly one of the highlights of the Peloponnese. The ride on the motorway from Kalamata to Mystras is a beautiful beginning. To visit the old part of Mystras is the price of a regular ticket 12 euros. Maybe some high, but for this price you can visit a large number of buildings and also the Castle. Since we had time, we have only the button along the bottom buildings done. Very special to think that here used to be 40,000 people along this steep slope lived and that all buildings were used. Two downsides I found that the churches have pretty much resembled each other and that the museum really nothing. Further do a really recommended during the late afternoon sun through hiking and enjoy the beautiful views and the beautiful monastery.
