The oven is a real highlight feature of Mykonos, one of the few remaining in the heart of Chora. Giora churns out sweet and savoury pastries daily using a kiln dating back to 1420. Very good pitas topped with various ingredients, feta, spinach and potatoes. Shame not to be returned for other commitments but really the kiln is one of the stops to do considering the great prices compared to other bakeries on the island.

Back in the last century in the bakery, I was overwhelmed by the aroma and flavour of the various odds and ends. I was cordially received despite little voice talent in 1 minute at home. Warmth, perfect baked goods and the typical "siga, siga" (slowly, slowly) leaves feeling sinking one in dreams. With paketo under his arm went home - dinner in the restaurant exchanged for delicacies on the Kastelloklippe at sunset. A MUST-HAVE!

The highlight in Mykonos. We had Greek mountain tea, amazingly tasty. We bought two bags home, wish we have brought home more.

Wonderful place!!! Everything is hand maded and baked in a wood stove.

Gioras is a Mykonos must do - a unique slice of history hidden under the busy streetscape. Stepping down the uneven steps is like heading into a little window into the past, and you can't help but feel like despite the modern display cabinets and the till in the corner, the bakery itself hasn't changed that much in the last few hundred years. Gioras and his wife are warm and friendly, and will happily have a chat with you about the bakery and show you the ovens. But the real treat is the baked goods - they are truly fantastic - the kind of thing I will remember in moments of hunger. You won't regret coming here, even if it is just to have a look and enjoy the smell of the bread. Their coffee is pretty good, too! Keep your eyes peeled as the bakery is below ground and not obviously signed.

Cute, authentic old bakery. A bit scruffy inside but that is part of its charm. Tasty pastries.

Delicious baked goods. My favorite were the cream cones. Friendly staff and unique environment.
