  • Once in Metsovo , you cannot miss this winery. It is the producers one of the most highly rated wines in Greece and has been one of the pioneers in the Greek winemaking community. The building it self...  more »
  • We visited the Winery on Sunday and unfortunately on Sunday was not available on wine tasting. However they did make the very interesting tour of the wine cellar where wine barrels are kept. The tour lasts just under 15 minutes and in the end you have the chance to have a detailed explanation of the wines produced and purchased the same at an attractive price. An enjoyable visit a few hundred meters from the center of Metsovo. In particular, I was struck by the story of Mr AVEROFF that thanks to a loan of a Greek origin Swiss implanted near metsovo the first vines of cabernet and as always the same averoff has given stimulus to the construction of new schools and the construction of a dam to protect the village and to give stimulus to the entire local economy.
