  • Our visit at the Venetsanos Winery was a stop along our day tour, and was unforgettable. A great location for views of the caldera this spot is ideal for taking it slow and enjoying the wine with frie...  more »
  • The winery was no longer crowded in October 2016. We were led by the staff competently and then enjoyed the offered wines with a view that is surpassed only by the atmosphere of this Winery. Much to recommend the cheese plate, then you no longer want to leave the place. Suuuuuper!

  • The tour of the Winery is very fast and the explanations, although interesting, are not many, but the staff is friendly. Greek wines that give you test are pretty good and we ask for a cheese platter to accompany it were delicious. They were a variety of cheeses that move out of the most traditional of the country and were a great discovery. But what we liked most was the place where we did the tasting, winery terrace has beautiful views of the island. We seemed an experience much more authentic that it's the winery Santos, too focused to the tourism in mass.

  • We really enjoyed the spectacular views of the caldera here as well as the wine. Only 7€ for tasting. If you order a glass of wine, instead of tasting, you get a small plate of cheese and crackers. We preferred this winery over Santo Winery because it was less crowded and touristy. Also the wine pourers were more attentive here.
  • Go there for the view, not for the wine! The tour of the winery is very short (5-10min). Our guide was rushing the group to get it done quickly. It's sad because the winery itself is very interesting. It was built in the 1950s with the idea to leverage gravity to avoid any unnecessary power consumption. All the cuves come next to each other along the hill to leverage the gravity. The view is wonderful and it's a great place to see the sunset. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but we didn't like the wine. We recommend Sigalas, on the road to Oia, if you want better wine and a more authentic experience. This one is designed for tourists.
  • Great experience for a fair price! For 7 euro you get winetasting of white, rose, red and the vinsanto wine. Specially the vinsanto wine is a plesure! We took some fava aperetizer, which made a great combination with the wines. Also, this winery doesnt give you the impression that its a mega-producing hi-tech company; Friendly and relaxed staff with knowledge about wine.
  • I really enjoyed our short visit here. Staff is great. I enjoyed the wines they presented. Purchased one of there dessert wines
  • Breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, delicious wine and wonderful Greek olives- does it get any better!
