  • Given this month January but the cataracts had no water ... It is certainly impressive even so! Of course the beds since they were introduced in tampela to notice road it is not intended!. Nice route, not difficult path.. It was a very beautiful excursion for nice pictures! My Tip: the car can go up to the point that is the signpost to the left of the road.. Don't be afraid! We didn't know and we left behind! So we walked above! Throughout the trail has darts that leads ...

  • Nice ride in the Cretan mountain... of lights, colours, smells, looks of Pagnol... Everyone is benefiting, teen Sports, more calm parents... Walk through the olive trees and the small Cretan forest, along the ancient aqueducts to lead.. .According to the time of the visit to this picturesque waterfall... We even met a few amphibians.. .even if there is no water is nice.

  • The waterfalls can be reached on foot-easy hike (round trip 2-3 h). On this hike you can go even with small children – will give advice! Trip start in Farm Hotel Kakkos Bay. From Ierapetra to the East we pass this hotel Kakkos Bay, after which the right is oversteer. In the middle of the bend on the left side of the gravel road is marked "plate" with the words "MYLONAS WATERFALL". In this way you should turn and follow it up. The road leads green slope, from which we can admire the beautiful pine forests, Cypress and tamaryszki. The trail is marked and is not difficult. Proper "climbing" we start from the next array informs us about the way to the waterfalls. The last 800 m goes fairly steep path, and even "aqueduct" (the water chute). After reaching the place waiting for us a great reward-waterfalls, of which the highest is 40 meters! And here an unwelcome surprise. ... from July to September (when we were there) no water:( But even though it is worth to go there. Good advice: take hats or other headgear and drinks, because along the way, there are no sources of drinking water.

  • Great waterfall, good location but no water from the fall in August...nice walk to the left and above the waterfall to the location of the river and gorge but this is not an easy climb...be careful. IMPORTANT READ...The location takes you to the wrong place as shown in my first image...the correct location for the start of the waterfall is show in the image below (heart on the map)...I headed to this Google location and was in the wrong place, luckily I was on an enduro off-road bike...a German family were not so lucky and had been walking for over an hour in the wrong direction on mountain getting lost. Google has been contacted to correct the location. :)
  • Great waterfall which has water most of the year (it fills with water in the winter months and therefore flows most time of winter, spring and summer). The route is little demanding and safe
  • Wonderful path way into the forest, leading to the waterfalls of "Mylonas". Unfortunately it was August and this time of the year there was no water.
  • Super!
  • Nice hicking trip, takes you 20 min from the beginning to the waterfall which comes down from about 40 m.
