  • Unfortunately I couldn't get inside to see the church but the walk up and the grounds were very pleasant. Some of the graves were wonderfully designed and it is well worth a visit
  • Both the Church and next to the cemetery are really worthy of a watch, and tombstones are buried are the real history lesson, given that in the years 1912-1943 the island ruled the Italians, and in Germany from 1943 to 1945. There is even a Polish accent-the grave of Donald Rogowski (1962-1991), POLAND. For those interested in the Sunday at 10.00 is celebrated mass by caring for Franciscan church from the island of Rhodes and here a pleasant surprise, turned out to be a pole, a sermon (short, referring to read the Gospel, without any references to the policy) has been given in Polish and English. An open-air mass under a special shelter, and for the more versed in the topic I will add, that was celebrated in Latin. Roman Rite, which is as it was before Vatican II. father returned is facing the altar but with his back to the faithful-in Poland, a true rarity.

  • Only on the island of the Catholic Church, "virtual" at least once a week (Sunday mass at 6:00 pm is probably current throughout the year) to which the "hidden" path leads next to the car parking is available adjacent to the Roman amphitheatre. The Church is located within the cemetery, which is also a memorial plaque to Italian soldiers shot by the Germans. The Interior of the Church is hitting the simplicity, modesty decoration (wood sculpture), no golden decorations, walls painted a creamy blend of bronze a few decorations. Sacred vessels (used during mass) are silver color-first time I met such in this church.
