Walk through a tunnel leading to a dam and a small lake at Epta Piges. The seven small natural springs that serve as the namesake for this attraction bubble with fresh spring water and are marked by posts indicating their names. A nearby restaurant provides a place to relax and listen to the flowing water while you look for the oft-seen peacocks and watch the turtles and freshwater crabs swim freely. The paths around the springs may prove challenging for those with mobility issues, but accessible parking is readily available close to the site. Epta Piges Reviews
Epta Piges, seitsemän lähdettä, sijaitsee vuokra-autolla helposti saavutettavassa paikassa Rodos -Lindos -tieltä hieman sisämaahan päin. Paikka sinällään on luonnonkaunis, mutta eipä siellä kovin kaua... more »EPTA Piges, seven sources, is located on a rented car in an easily accessible location on the Rhodes-Lindos road, facing a little inland. The place in itself is scenic, but it is not very long to see the time spent on the essentials. Just under 200 meters long, the dark Water tunnel is an exciting experience.
Joli détour ! Même si la déception est un peu au rdv tellement le site des 7 sources est petit.... en revanche, n'hésitez pas à emprunter le tunnel pour traverser la montagne et arriver au..... Even if the disappointment is a bit at the appointment so the site of the 7 sources is small .... on the other hand, do not hesitate to use the tunnel to cross the mountain and arrive at the..... (well I'm not going to tell you everything....) It's free and affordable even for the big claustrophobic that I am. The tunnel is a little over 100 m long and it is not silly to have his beach sandals for this crossing to avoid being barefoot (everyone does it barefoot). Count 1 hour in all. The place is nice because it is different from the general landscape.
I walk with a stick and did not want to go through the tunnel but around it, unfortunately nothing is indicating and I started walking on the Bonnefooi and I came down so I had to climb the mountain again. The 7 sources probes as good as Leeeg. My husband has gone through the tabeat and has come to the waterfall where turtles swim as well. Later after the snack I took a piece with him to the 7 sources, but got off in the right place. The restaurant is value for money yet it is not the only reason one should visit the place. The visitor should find the small tunnel 100m away from the restaurant and walk through it. It is about 180-200 meters (max 5' walk) in a dark narrow corridor with a window (well entrance 5 meters above your head) in the middle of the tunnel (you cannot exit from there). Cold water is running on the floor so one must carry his shoes or wear slippers, although it is easier to walk barefoot. At the exit you find a very small lake and then you have to walk back to the parking and the restaurant (less than 10 minutes walk). The 7 springs are really small and you will find them right next to the restaurant. It is not something impressive. You can start a walk from the springs into the forest. Yet you should not expect to find something at the end of the path. The red signs lead nowhere (trust me I followed them to the end) and are just there to guide you into the forest. The path leads high on a heal with a view of the forest. Do not try to walk the path with slippers especially when you start climbing. Don't wear yourself out. If you want to have a refreshing walk in the woods of Rhodes (although with a ticket) I suggest the butterfly valey.
Beautiful natural spot and a real oasis out of the sun. This is a nice place to stop by while exploring the island. The taverna also shows promise of real good food although we only had drinks. They were great.
Amazing day out. Superb service and great experience. Loved the tunnel. Thank you for letting us experience your family run business.
It is a place you have to visit if you go to Rhodes. Of course it has a fresh environment, because of the cold water that flows through this beautiful green landscape. By the way, I've been told from the very kind people they work there, that they need to start 2 months before season opens preparing the whole woods sector. It means they spend 2 months, tiding and clearing away the wintry clutter in that area so we can go and enjoy the beauty with super good food and nature with its owners, animals like rabbits and peacocks!
Lovely quiet setting, ran by the same family since 1945! Treated us amazingly well, lovely place and people. Good variety of choice and great quality meat!!
