Gaia Winery, Kamari

4.2
#8 of 9 in Wineries in Santorini
Fine wine and tranquil views await at Gaia Winery, renowned for its dry whites. Situated on Santorini's coastline between Kamari and Monolithos, the winery occupies a former tomato factory dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. Once the production of cherry tomatoes ceased here, the old building gained new life as a modern winery using state-of-the-art equipment and innovative facilities to produce high-quality wines and aromatic vinegars. You can tour the winemaking facilities and taste a range of wines made and aged on site. Check the website for seasonal opening hours, and reserve your tour in advance. • Dear the girl pointed out and made to taste wines. But nothing that environment a little boring. I'm sorry, but I couldn't wait to go away ...

  • The best wines of Santorini but the visitation is poor and with few attractions. The different is that the Winery is facing the sea.

  • We booked the fish lunch option with wine tasting on-line in advance. We arrived early and saw an old man get out of a car and deliver our lunch to the winery, so the food is not prepared on site. The...  more »

  • Small but cozy winery where you will discover, with the help of the staff, the magnificent variety of Santoriny wines. Located just in front of the sea, you can enjoy 4 varieties of wine for 6€. We decided to accompany it with a table of cheeses, for 14€ more. It is really worth and it is one of the best experiences we had in Santorini. Lykos is amazing, thanks for your help!!
  • Great little place to go to. It is quite a walk but worth every step. Great wines to taste and to drink. The staff is great and takes their time to explain about the wines. We als took the cheese platter with all different cheeses from the islands. They were fantastic. We spent a few hours on this little place on the beach, and ik was amazing!
  • Closed; as in deserted-and-abandoned closed. Don't know if this just wrong time of year (mid April) but when other wineries are open you'd they would be too... They need to manage their opening times on here.
  • Great selection of wines with a nice view over the beach.
  • Very authentic feel to this Vineyard by the beach. Definitely worth the trip.
