  • Varlaam is one of the two larger, still active monasteries at Meteora and most definitely worth a visit. You can park in front of it, so it is easily accessible and justified with an entrance fee of €3 absolutely. Of course you can see only a relatively small part, but when you consider that there is actually still people live, it's bearable. A visit is definitely value alone to the views to enjoy.

  • This monastery monks, is also there are nuns is an incredible place easily accessible since it can be reached by car or bus its views are amazing, the Church which can not photograph beautiful and its wonderful museum visit it is quite an experience. We were also in another of nuns and the truth that has nothing to envy to this

  • Make sure as a woman you show respect by having a skirt on (though wraps are provided if you do not). Men should have long pants on. Worth the trip!
