  • We are passionate about wines and also to Crete we didn't miss the opportunity to visit a winery in the area of the vineyards of Crete. The visit was really interesting and fabulous tasting wines so much that we bought 3 bottles and 1 EC gave it to our guide. Very pretty Winery and vineyards. A visit not to be missed for all wine lovers!

  • Every couple of hours they have a tour which explains about the vineyard and the grapes before tasting the various wines (the odd hours of the afternoon). This is interesting, particularly if you are into wine. Follow the signs from the main road (you will go under the main road).
  • Excellent eno-experience! The Winery is located in an enchanting setting, 500 metres above the sea, surrounded by the mountains of Lassithi. It can be reached in half an hour from Heraklion, and with the help of Google Maps, it is easy to find. The visit consisted of a brief explanation of the denomination of origin Lyrarakis, varieties of vines, and some curiosities of his care, harvesting and processing. They were also a room where they kept some barrels and bottles, although not all of the winery. The numerous prizes in different competitions can be seen in the main hall. Then went to the tasting of some of their delicious wines, along with tasting of local cheeses, bread and olives. We were lucky to visit a special week, and try more wines from those offered on the tour. We tested a total of 2 white wines, rosés and reds 2, a kind of champagne, a sweet wine and grape juice. The tasting is accompanied by a detailed tasting notes and food pairing recommendations. Our guide solved during the tasting all the questions we faced, resulting in short interactive tasting. At the end of the visit, several of its wines you can buy. Prices can be found on their website. I make special mention of the treatment received from the arrival, with exquisite, at the height of its wines attention and kindness. A very pleasant surprise that allowed us to know the quality of Cretan wine and have a wonderful time in their cozy cellar. Highly recommended.

  • Is located so that it is possible to come even outside working hours and just wander around, watch and make some good shots. During business hours you can participate in wine tasting, local laws allow you to do this and drivers (with full responsibility for their actions), listen to the submitted wines, after that then buy.
