I was very happy. Beautiful model of the city of Heraklion. Beside there were panels that using a button evidenziavao around the old city. Done well the description of various historical periods. I loved that the Venetian period and the part concerning the Greek independence with arms and descriptions. Then there is a section on the war with objects of the soldiers very interesting also for teenagers to learn about Greek history. Only the section of folklore with clothes, fabrics and glimpses of everyday life ...

Great museum for all those history buffs who wish to learn more about the island of Crete and its history. A lot of information about the many empires that ruled Crete (Byzantium, Venetian and Turkish). Highly enjoyable.

Great museum. Remember, this museum is more about medieval to modern times. Don't expect antiquities.
