  • going up to the fortress you will see a great view!!! It's definitely a little difficult to climb, especially with the heat that does!

  • One of the oldest fortresses all over Greece, with an extraordinary view in the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
  • Virgin, incomparable beauty beach. I was in shock with its crystal clear waters. I didn't want to leave with nothing. And to imagine that live in the coastal area.

  • After the hike uphill at midday when it is especially hot and sunny, it's not that impressive as a ruin. Also not easy to walk on a rocky path in flip flops, so bring hiking sandals at a minimum. But view is great. Rated 3 stars due to the boat tour which is packed with a ton of ppl, making gramvousa very crowded when everyone unloads. Beach is small but quaint, rocky entrance to the water so bring water sandals. Unfortunately if you do a boat tour you will arrive at the hottest point in the day. we try to visit Cretan ruins in the morning due to the heat and sun after 11:00am. This is in August.
  • Great views from the top. It's good to have stable shoes so you won't hurt yourself while going up which btw is a great exercise.
  • Perfect experience that includes a lot of stairs! The view and the feeling is more than rewarding.
  • The BEST of Creta ! Historically, mystical, beautiful island !
  • Very nice place! Beautiful views. History from XVI century.
