  • During the tour sailed to the fortress. The Guide warned that we should rely our own strength, helping us to wait there and the ship will not wait. Old stone steps lead to the top of different heights and widths, go hard, very hot. Half way many fall out of the race. And by the way, this makes sense. View from the middle of the magnificent mountains! Yes, if you climb up to the end, the review would be slightly different, but it is, few MBP. The main beauty is the merger of seas for which all this and zatevalaos', visible and here the same viewing angle. But you can go down and enjoy a swim in the clear water! I went on. And the bottom is not visible all the way, with each turn you realize that until the goal still far (((Got it! really! Beautifully But time to wander through the fortress itself, unfortunately left. It's time to get down! "and the same difficult feet slip, you feel tired. In the end feel a hero! It all goes for older people, young people, I think it will be easy.

  • With a cruise ship to Gramvousa. Very good and you certainly should have done. The Fort, though good walking shoes are best explored because it is a serious climb, gives a beautiful view of the surrounding islands and the sea. So beautiful blue and clear water. Prime location!

  • We visited the fortress in the ship's trip. The hike is not extra challenging, takes about 20 minutes to free pace. At the entrance gate of the fortress are a few remnants of the statues. The main gate is preserved and can walk to the Fort. The walls around the perimeter mostly in good condition. Is great views in all directions.

  • After the hike uphill at midday when it is especially hot and sunny, it's not that impressive as a ruin. Also not easy to walk on a rocky path in flip flops, so bring hiking sandals at a minimum. But view is great. Rated 3 stars due to the boat tour which is packed with a ton of ppl, making gramvousa very crowded when everyone unloads. Beach is small but quaint, rocky entrance to the water so bring water sandals. Unfortunately if you do a boat tour you will arrive at the hottest point in the day. we try to visit Cretan ruins in the morning due to the heat and sun after 11:00am. This is in August.
  • Great views from the top. It's good to have stable shoes so you won't hurt yourself while going up which btw is a great exercise.
  • Perfect experience that includes a lot of stairs! The view and the feeling is more than rewarding.
  • The BEST of Creta ! Historically, mystical, beautiful island !
  • Very nice place! Beautiful views. History from XVI century.
