Voidokilia Beach, Gialova

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Shaped like the Greek letter omega, Voidokilia Beach sits hidden by sand dunes and protected from wind. Often named one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, this stretch is a geological formation unlike any other. The warm water remains shallow for quite a distance from the shore, making it an ideal location for young children. After taking a dip in the clear blue water, walk up to the Old Frankish Castle and the cave of King Nestor. Bring a picnic, as there are no facilities on the beach. Our Gialova trip builder makes visiting Voidokilia Beach and other Gialova attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • A picture-perfect beach, which certainly is among the most beautiful in Europe. Course know the many others, according to the beach is also frequented. Lots of garbage in the dunes, as well as "Wildparker" tarnish the pleasure, especially since directly beside a nature reserve borders.

  • It's really a very nice beach but not as nice as expected seeing the photos where you see framed from the top and without anyone. Bottom view and with many people (although less than what I could expect) lose a little charm. The sea very nice with beautiful colors, striking the remains of the Castle. Remains and justly one of the most beautiful beaches of Greece.

  • One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in my life! A true spectacle, crystal clear waters in a unique landscape. Very crowded by tourists and Greeks. Over carry water or soft drinks, because there are no shops on the beach. The road to the beach is bit complicated, careful handling. Better go early during the high season (July, August), because it fills up very quickly.
