  • The restaurant here is one of the best I’ve been to on Crete! They use fresh produce from the garden and traditional methods of cooking over the fire. So good! The park is beautiful too. Well worth a visit to spend time in nature and learn about plants. And the gift shop is great as well for local products, cookbooks, and more.
  • Entrance was 6€ for adults. We got a bottle of water included in the price.. The 2,5km path around has lot of climbing and descending. You can skip the lowest part cutting the distance to 1,3km which was good on a hot day. Lots of tropical fruits and plants with some lizards and songbirds made the visit worth while. There is a restaurant where you can dine and purchase local products like wines, honey, oils etc.Taking a longer western route back to the coast took us through some pretty small villages on top of the hills.
  • Such a wonderful place and all, we had a walk around the park with our 9 year old and thou he got a bit frustrated at his parents stopping to read up on the different plants in the garden he still by the end of the day liked it. The restaurant has plenty of shaded tables and a wonderful personal. We had a salad and the lamb pie and shared them among us three and it was plenty of food for us. As a dessert we got some fruit on the house, the oranges are super tasty and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone but especially to any gardening nerds out there.
  • Very different setting for a botanical garden! The entrance is perched at the top of a rocky outcrop and they've successfully managed to design a steep descending garden and it's not so steep incline on the other side of the ravine. Paths are rough and steep in places with not much to hold on to if you aren't fit or able! The abundance of interesting flora and citrus fruits are worth going to see. The reward at the end is a superb restaurant with excellent food. A bit too early in the year to see it at its best.
  • It was a great hike. Loved all the plants, awesome peacocks walking around. The restaurant was good, too. We had lunch and then the hike. It was a hot day, but the trees were a blessing to cool us off at times...
