This was a beautiful cathederal. The organist was playing and it was very restful to just sit and listen

Transmits peace! Recommend going without haste, to admire, pray and thank. Linda!!!show original
Something a little different about this cathedral. It is not the blue & white that characterises the religious architecture of Santorini.
Lovely, beside a that it's unusual to find a catholic cathedral in Greece, most belong to our brothers oorthodox
Jose Ant. PayoThe most Greek of the Greek Islands, the quintessence of the Mediterranean, is the product of a great cataclysm that probably swept away a civilization, the Minoan. It is not difficult to get a small taste of what happened to the ancient Thera more than 3,600 years ago. Just enjoy watching the wide Lagoon which occupies the ancient caldera of the volcano. Isn't far-fetched theory, increasingly in vogue, that such violent phenomenon is in the mysterious origin of the legend of Atlantis. Perhaps influenced by this sense of inevitable catastrophe, suitably reinforced by a small tremor that happens from time to time, visitors to this wonderful island of whitewashed walls and blue domes are delivered quickly to hedonism and dolce far niente. It is what calls the most beautiful cycladic. A place where the slopes are too steep for walking, too beautiful beaches to enjoy them and the too-sweet Vinsanto for Miss happily.show original
