(5/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Lake Doxa is an artificial lake in western Corinthia, Greece. It is situated at an elevation of 900 m, in the municipal unit Feneos, near the village Archaia Feneos. Construction was completed in the late 1990s. It is fed and drained by the small river Doxa (Δόξα), which empties into the plain of Feneos. In the heart of the lake on a small peninsula features a small church of Agios Fanourios. The Saint George Monastery in Feneos was relocated to higher ground, north of the lake. The lake is surrounded by pine forests.

  • Even if you mainly walk on the road, give it a go! The scenery is great and distance is not too long for even kids. If in doubt, rent a bike.
  • Imaginary landscape, well worth a visit, you can do hiking, biking, and riding horses. It has no shops for food and coffee to spoil the splendid natural landscape, only something peddlers with traditional products that were at the entrance to the trail to Lake Chapel. Wonderful pictures

  • A wonderful trip in this Berregion. The drive there is already full of distractions. The Lake invites to the picnic. We had to consider whether it is in Greece. The monastery is imperative to visit.
