  • Excellent site right on the main road. this is a very historic site - it was the first major battle of the Persian Wars and is across the sea to the next major battle - Marathon.
  • Long good pedestrian course. However panels give good information to the visitor. Do not miss the theatre and House of the mosaics.

  • How many places in Greece, the slightest breath of backhoe gives day in a part of ancient history... But then... What do I do? Eretria, it's a little feeling that we have: a vast field with a bunch of foundations of ancient buildings which one has the impression that we don't know what to do! The site is not maintained, which is a shame because it might be worth in! To see still for lovers of mosaics, home to the mosaics, which presents three beautifully well preserved mosaics. Only downside: buildings to protect them from the elements and are visible behind glass! Attention home mosaics is not on the archaeological site, you have to walk a bit to find it.
