  • We went with the bridges and everything in good condition so as to exclude anywhere access and enjoyed the beauty and uniqueness of this archaeological site! Unique because it is surrounded by nature, at the foot of Mount Olympus, stretched out in a vast area, has many waters (so need bridges, will be restored for sure, not repulses it by browsing) and memorials are springing up as if here and there to the admire! The €8 ticket is unified with the Museum (we went there as well). The Park however is something else! I think you are the most beautiful Archaeological Park in Greece! Impressed us the mosaic of Medusa in the Villa of Dionysos, the sanctuary of Isidas, the statues, the bathrooms ... Don't miss it!

  • We visited this site as part of an all day excursion with Thomas Cook. It was 42 euros and well worth the money. Plenty of areas to walk around at the archeological site, so you get a good idea of how...  more »
  • The crisis should be passed by here but if the Museum remains friendly visit of the old city is a waste of time because badly maintained. Weeds, inaccessible sites. If you think go rent a Rotofil or buy the weed-killer.

  • Ancient Archaeological Site of Dion !!!!! This terrific site just radiates with an electric mythical vibe that excellently accentuates the amazing archaic nature of this vast historic site. The surrounding area and the ruins combine to exude a phenomenal presence that is absolutely enchanting to explore. Make sure and stop by the Dion Archaeological Museum just up the road for maximum appreciation of the experience :)
  • A dreamy place, not surprised that the gods were staying close to there. Breath taking landscape! The museums at Dion were amazing aswell. I will visit this place again.
  • A site you simply should not skip visiting! A terrific and huge archaeological park. Bring comfortable walking shoes and get ready to spend a few hours, if you wish to truly experience this place. So much variety in what you see and learn. I have to deduct a star in scoring, because it could be a lot better maintained and organized.
  • Dion museum is great, but archeological park is not worth the time. There are no guides, audioguides, or even infosheets, everything is just uncovered building bases, so you are venturing these bases for 2 hours without any context what they were, what they looked like etc. And they all look the same unless you're professional archeologist.
  • Park was partly broken due flooding I suppose. Lots of nature and ancient rocks here and there. There were some waters running through the park and some bridges were broken. The staff was super friendly. Even the park was closed on Mondays we had change to visit it briefly. All in all it was a pleasant walk in nature with ancient ruins.
